Biography
Troels Jensen, handling piano, guitar, and vocals, steered the Delta Cross Band as it delivered the charged energy of contemporary blues and modern American folk throughout Denmark in the 1980s. The outfit had originated in the late 1960s under the names Delta Blues Band or Delta. Among the select few acts to tackle the little-known Dylan composition "Legionnaire's Disease," they placed the track on their 1981 album Up Front. A second striking release, Tough Times, followed in 1991, yet persistent disappointment over their lack of international breakthrough prompted the group to disband. Jensen reappeared ten years later through a partnership with Danish bluesman H.P. Lange.
