Biography
British rapper Derek B generated only a modest reaction with his first album, Bullet from a Gun, issued by Profile. His rapping abilities came across as adequate while the beats remained serviceable without rising to any exceptional standard. The record nevertheless produced no meaningful breakthrough in hip-hop or R&B and likewise made no impression on the pop landscape. Derek B suffered a fatal heart attack in London during November 2009 at age 44.
