Desire operated as an American hard rock act in the early 1980s, its lineup built around Fred Daniel on vocals, Burk Price on guitar, David Svach on bass, and Larry Sexton on drums. Although the band met with scant commercial traction overall, Price’s contributions to the debut release, 1983’s Cry At The Sky, prompted scattered notes of approval from reviewers. Even so, the music’s narrow and conventional character kept the group from developing any broader following. After staging only a few token promotional shows, Desire disbanded.
