Biography
Divine Fits, an indie supergroup assembled from Spoon's Britt Daniel, New Bomb Turks drummer Sam Brown, and Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs member Dan Boeckner, revealed their formation in May 2012 by releasing a 45-second teaser trailer and confirming that producer Nick Launay would deliver a full-length album before the end of the year. The disclosure arrived soon after the public announcement that Handsome Furs—the project Boeckner had maintained with his wife Alexei Perry—had split. Their sleekly rocking debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, reached stores in August 2012.
