Emma Grankvist, a Danish singer and songwriter working as Eee Gee, crafts intricately layered pop that explores emotional lows and highs through subtle humor and incisive tunes. She inked a deal with Future Classic, the Australian label, and drew widespread praise for Winning, her 2022 debut album. Her second full-length, the more wide-ranging She-Rex, surfaced near the close of 2023.

Grankvist had earlier dropped a project with a heavier electronic bent before adopting the Eee Gee name and folding her assorted influences into a broader sonic palette. She issued her first single, "Favourite Lover," through Future Classic in 2021, then delivered guitar-driven indie pop cuts such as "All of Nothing" and "Killing It." Those songs all landed on Winning, a finely honed debut whose ironic title masked the predominantly somber cast of her writing. A strong slate of festival shows came next, and she unveiled her follow-up album in 2023. Marking a clear step ahead creatively, She-Rex spanned folk, wry alt-pop, and rich electro-pop textures. Her opening 2024 release arrived as the polished chamber pop single "Snowdrop," taken from the Danish film Den grænseløse.
