Eldritch

Italian band Eldritch formed from the remnants of Zeus, with an initial roster that included Terence Holler, Eugene Simone, Adriano Dal Canto, and Martin Kyhn. The quartet issued the demo Reflection of Sadness in 1991, drawing early notice as a result. Oleg Smirnoff joined on keyboards two years afterward, after which the group produced a second demo. Their debut full-length, Seeds of Rage, appeared in 1995, followed in 1997 by Headquake. The band then handled every aspect of the subsequent release, El Nino, themselves. Smirnoff departed once that album was out, and Sean Henderson stepped in to fill the keyboard position. Tendonitis issues compelled Adriano Dal Canto to exit Eldritch that same year, prompting the arrival of Dave Simeone as his successor. The Reverse, recorded in 2001, marked the first album to feature this revised lineup.
