Biography
An Americana-focused project unites the Texas country-folk pair The Wind and the Wave (Dwight A. Baker and Patricia Lynn) with Welsh singer/songwriter Kelly Jones from the rock band Stereophonics. This trio issued their self-titled debut album in 2023.
Baker and Lynn first crossed paths with Jones in 2013 while supporting Stereophonics on tour. Their songwriting partnership crystallized on Jones’s 2019 solo tour, which included The Wind and the Wave as openers. Merging folk, soul, rock, and country, the three entered the studio late that year. Although the sessions lasted only nine days, the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the release for more than three years. Far from Saints arrived in 2023 on British independent label Ignition.
