Biography
In 1999 the Latin pop/rock duo Flores Raras, whose name translates as “Strange Flowers,” first appeared. Producer Gugu Martínez formed the Spanish act around two core members: Betty González, formerly a backup vocalist with Pimpinela, and Fran Bardón, who handled vocals and piano. Work on their debut album began in September 2001 and incorporated the track that served as their initial hit, “Flores Raras.”
