Fly Project

Romania's Fly Project emerged as a Bucharest-rooted electronic duo whose sound fuses trance, EDM, house, and Latin pop into dance-floor material. The pair came together in the Romanian capital during 2005, centering on singer and producer Tudor Ionescu alongside instrumentalist and producer Dan Denes. Their first release that same year was a self-titled album anchored by the track "Raisa." K-Tinne arrived two years afterward as their sophomore effort. Another success followed in 2008 when the single "Brasil" earned both chart traction and a Romanian Music Award nomination. Additional singles continued to surface, among them "Mandala" in 2011, "Back in My Life" in 2012, and "Toca Toca" in 2013; the last of these gained wide European traction once it appeared on the 2014 dance compilation Kontor House of House, Vol. 19. In 2016 the duo joined Last Night for the single "Next to You," issued via their own Fly Records imprint, while also issuing the original cut "Butterfly" that featured vocalist Andra.
