Flynt Flossy

Flynt Flossy, the rapper responsible for the viral sensations "Did I Mention I Like to Dance" and "Treat Me Like a Pirate," also heads the eccentric, playful, and enigmatic Turquoise Jeep record label and collective. He maintains that the TJ crew originated online without roots in any particular place, yet he concedes that he started the label together with R&B singer Whatchyamacallit. The effort began in 2009 when Flossy uploaded his party rap track "Stretchy Pants." Early the next year, Whatchyamacallit and Flossy appeared with TJ artist Yung Humma on the massive viral hit "Fried or Fertilized." Later that year the same trio reconvened for another viral Humma success, "Lemme Smang It." Both songs were included on the 2010 Turquoise Jeep compilation Keep the Jeep Ridin', which also contained Flossy's electro-dance track "Did I Mention I Like to Dance." Viewed at the time as closer to Lonely Island than Odd Future, Flossy and Humma achieved mainstream status in late 2012 by joining Childish Gambino on the single "F*ck Your Blog." Flynt issued another solo single a year afterward, the party rap number "Treat Me Like a Pirate" ("and gimme that booty").
