Born in Alicante in 1959, Spanish singer/songwriter Sarria Francisco González revealed an early aptitude for music and took the stage before live crowds during his teenage years. Recognition soon followed through appearances at regional festivals and talent competitions. Camilo Sesto noticed the emerging performer and produced his debut album, released in 1981. That same year brought widespread acclaim after González claimed victory at the OTI Song Festival with “Latino.” Subsequent releases yielded a string of successful recordings until his career trajectory faded during the latter half of the 1980s. Opera engagements began in the 1990s, and he secured a second OTI Festival win in 1992 with “A Dónde Voy Sin Ti” (Where Do I Go Without You). Visibility returned in 2011 through his portrayal of the antagonist in the film Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis together with his participation in the television contest Tu Cara Me Suena (Your Face Is Familiar).
