Fratta

Born on September 13, 1966, in Guatemala, Central America, Jorge Mario García Fratta experienced a family relocation to Mexico in 1971 after the Guatemalan government exiled his father. Constantly encouraged by his mother, he began piano and guitar lessons at an early age. Upon reaching 15, the young musician obtained his first electric guitar. Artefacto served as his initial band, which disbanded once its members chose to focus on university studies. Over the ensuing period he contributed keyboards to ensembles such as Ninot and Casino. In 1994 BMG’s associate label Culebra signed him, leading to the release of Romantico Desliz. Realidad appeared in 1998 on the independent label Intolerancia.
