Biography
Born on December 21, 1972, in Paris, French singer Frédéric Lerner charted a course that diverged from his earlier business studies. His debut full-length, issued in 2001, achieved commercial success thanks in part to standout singles such as “Cybélia” and supporting tours, yet that momentum proved insufficient for his 2004 follow-up to register similarly. A duet alongside Swedish singer Indra also failed to appear on the charts, suggesting an impasse in Lerner’s progress. The lead single from his 2007 album, Ça Passe ou Ça Casse, nevertheless connected with listeners and lifted the project into the Top 30 in France.
