Biography
Producer James Greenwood initiated Ghost Culture in 2013 as an eerie and ethereal dance music project based in a London bedroom. The act issued its first single, "Mouth," that year on clear vinyl through Erol Alkan's Phantasy label; the release earned strong notices and quickly sold out, matching the rapid demand seen with the 2014 follow-ups "Arms" and "Giudecca." Those three tracks all appeared on the self-titled debut album that arrived in 2015. One year later came the "Safe/Multiply" single, after which the Nucleus EP of 2016 highlighted Greenwood's connections to '90s IDM and 2010s R&B. The project moved from that opening release to a much-anticipated full-length in under two years, cultivating a devoted audience along the way.
