Biography
Amsterdam-born vocalist Giovanca blends mature contemporary R&B with adult alternative pop/rock in her approach. Before launching a solo career she spent several years contributing backing vocals to other projects. A notable breakthrough arrived in 2007 via the duet “As Long as We’re in Love,” recorded with Wouter Hamel. Her debut album Subway Silence appeared in March 2008. Two years afterward, and shortly after receiving the Silver Harp—an award honoring promising Dutch talent—she issued her second album While I’m Awake. Third album Satellite Love followed in September 2013.
