Biography
Keyboardist Jason Miles teamed up with turntablist DJ Logic to create Global Noize, whose output fuses jazz and world fusion into funky, dance-driven material. Shanachie issued the group’s debut self-titled album in 2008. Global Noize followed three years later with A Prayer for the Planet. In 2013 the ensemble delivered Sly Reimagined: The Music of Sly and the Family Stone, an homage to funk legend Sly Stone that showcased vocalists Falu and Nona Hendrix alongside trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, saxophonist Jay Rodriguez, and further guests.
