Biography
The sounds of disco-pop, off-kilter country, and psychedelic rock converge in eccentric fashion through Gram Rabbit, a female-led quartet rooted in Southern California's desert expanses. Jesika von Rabbit, serving as vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, guides the outfit, which originated in 2003 after she and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Todd Rutherford crossed paths by chance. Travis Cline later entered to cover bass and digital sampling roles, prompting Gram Rabbit to ink a deal with Stinky Records ahead of unveiling the eclectic debut album Music to Start a Cult To. The band expanded into a four-piece configuration for Cultivation in 2006, preserving that same roster size when RadioAngel and the RobotBeat arrived the next year via Reincarante Records.
