Biography
Lush, relaxed synths blend with speedy tempos and raunchy, humorous lyrics in the output of Detroit ghettotech trio HiTech. Their self-titled 2022 debut marked an initial appearance, after which the 2023 follow-up DÉTWAT propelled them forward, drawing greater international attention than any ghettotech act had received since genre pioneer DJ Assault more than two decades prior. Global gigs persisted alongside fresh singles, among them 2024's "SPANK!" and "SHADOWREALM" (featuring Zelooperz).
Rappers, DJs, and producers King Milo, Milf Melly, and 47chops form the group. Milo and Melly contributed to Omar S' 2022 album Can't Change, after which FXHE issued the full-length HiTech. The following year brought DÉTWAT, which included guests Fullbodydurag, Link Sinatra, and Dastardly Kids, generated major acclaim, and opened doors to appearances at festivals such as Unsound and CTM. A subsequent signing with Loma Vista yielded collaborations with Show Me the Body and Pink Siifu. Additional 2024 singles encompassed "I Still Swear It's a Bop" (featuring John FM and Ziggy Waters), "SPANK!," and "SHADOWREALM" (featuring Zelooperz).
