Biography
Hologram arose as a brief-lived outfit after internal fractures split apart the New Wave of British Heavy Metal outfit Holocaust, prompting Edinburgh, Scotland-based guitarist Ed Dudley and drummer Raymond Marciano to link with vocalist Gordon Band and enigmatic one-name bassist Nelson for a fresh start in 1982. Phoenix Records released their only album, Steal the Stars, the following year, presenting a polished, radio-friendly strain of hard rock considerably more approachable than Holocaust’s raw, aggressive heavy metal approach, though the record fared even worse commercially and brought the group’s run to a close. Neither Hologram nor any of its members have resurfaced since.
