Hustler

Genre: Metal
Origin: U.S.A

Formed as one of the initial trailblazers in British hard rock, Hustler featured the lineup of Steve Haynes on vocals, Micky Llewellyn handling guitar and vocals, Tigger Lyons on bass and vocals, Kenny Daughters at the keyboards, and Tony Beard on drums and percussion. In an era when the UK music landscape still equated anything in the rock sphere with intricate, layered progressive productions, the band’s direct hooks and good-time boogie approach left them somewhat at odds with prevailing tastes. Even so, the albums High Street and Play Loud stand as prime illustrations of the back-to-basics British rock current that would later ignite the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. Once the group disbanded, Llewellyn moved on to Mr. Big.
