Biography
Originating from Belgium, house and trance DJ Jacky Core—born Jacky Aru—launched his career as a teenager by earning recognition at a DJ contest in 1987. Performing early on under the name Twins, he secured a deal with Diki Records during those initial years. A residency at Complexe Cap'tain began for him in 1993 and continued through the greater part of his professional life. Beyond the turntables, Core also established himself in production by launching the recording company Kytezo in 2004, which grew into an umbrella operation that included labels such as Kaktus and roster acts including Klash, Major Bryce, and Fog System. A 2007 compilation drawn from his Cap'tain sets enjoyed strong commercial results on the French charts.
