Biography
Hailing from Mexico, Jair Rodriguez functions as a singer and songwriter while also serving as producer and recording artist. Distinction must be made from the legendary Brazilian cantor who shares the identical name. Electro, Latin pop, and hip-hop constitute the styles in which he composes and records.
The year 2018 brought his first independently issued long-player, Electricidad. Since that release Rodriguez has sustained a high output, delivering three further albums that include 2019's X along with 2020's Glitch.
His birthplace was Monterrey in Nuevo Leon. Music formed no part of his upbringing at home, yet his grandfather maintained an intense fixation on folk music and gathered numerous instruments. For Rodriguez's thirteenth birthday the elder presented him with a guitar. Self-instruction on guitar followed, together with formal piano lessons and an introduction to digital production and recording techniques. The five-track EP Tell Me appeared under his own imprint in 2017, succeeded by the singles "Ritmo," "Enigma," and "Contigo."
Electricidad reached the public in 2018 with "Mena" as its accompanying single. Instead of recruiting musicians for touring Rodriguez withdrew to compose, ultimately writing more than sixty songs and placing fifty of them on three albums issued that same year: A Todo Cambio, Renacer (including a deluxe edition containing bonus material), and X. Positive notices appeared in both local and regional publications for each project.
In 2020 Rodriguez issued the sixteen-track Glitch and supplemented it with a giveaway EP drawn from Electricidad, thereby supplying devoted listeners evidence of his ongoing musical advancement.
