Biography
Jason Manns, a folk-pop singer/songwriter known for his smooth and laid-back feel, arrived in Los Angeles during 2002. There he built a presence on the local club circuit while securing several prominent radio spots. Born in Bowling Green, Virginia, he issued his self-titled debut album in 2006, which drew parallels to fellow contemporary pop/rock singer/songwriters such as Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz. His longstanding friendship with actor Jensen Ackles connected him to the CW fantasy series Supernatural, whose producers placed several of Manns’ tracks in the show and thereby prompted his appearances at related fan conventions. After the 2010 release Soul and ahead of 2016’s Move, he issued the holiday collection Christmas with Friends in 2014. Further joint projects arrived with 2016’s Covers with Friends and 2018’s Recovering with Friends, both of which found him interpreting well-known classic rock songs alongside performers from acting and music circles, among them Ackles, Briana Buckmaster, Gil McKinney, and Rob Benedict.
