Biography
North London soul singer Jesse Elvis refined his vocal approach through an eclectic array of inspirations. At an early age the budding musician started creating and tinkering with original material, having first absorbed the sounds of Notorious B.I.G., Aaliyah, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley. During adolescence his tastes broadened further to encompass the U.K. underground, jungle, grime, and garage. He began posting mash-ups and covers on YouTube, eventually drawing the notice of Radio 1/1Xtra DJ Charlie Sloth. Sloth signed the emerging talent to his Grimey Limey imprint, after which Elvis joined tours alongside Paloma Faith, Stormzy, Skepta, and Plan B. His debut EP Paint the Picture arrived in 2017, fronted by the title track issued as its lead single.
