Biography
Jim Boggia picked up the guitar at the age of five. Based in Philadelphia, PA, he built early performing and session experience alongside Juliana Hatfield, Jill Sobule, and Amanda Marshall before stepping forward as a solo artist. His precise guitar work and warmly distinctive vocals anchor a songwriting approach rooted in classic craft. Drawing from the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and Brian Wilson, he channels those influences into meticulous arrangements that highlight every melodic and harmonic detail. After going independent, Boggia completed his debut full-length, Fidelity Is the Enemy, which reached stores in 2001 and earned praise from critics and an expanding audience alike. Misadventures in Stereo appeared in 2008.
