Biography
Originating from Grand Haven, Michigan, progressive house DJ Jon Bishop devoted his early years to drumming. Relocating to San Diego at age twenty placed him amid the Southern California underground rave scene, where by 1990 he was performing techno and house at local clubs and warehouse parties while also debuting his radio program, Sounds of the Underground. He opened his own San Diego venue, Club Hedonism, in 1992 and held a weekly Thursday slot there for the rest of the decade, in addition to serving each month as foreign resident at the noted Birmingham, England club Sundissential. Bishop topped the bill on the inaugural release in the new ICU Clubnights mix series in 1999.
