Biography
Keisa Brown, a native of Mississippi, lent her voice as a backing vocalist alongside artists such as Tom Jones, Lola Folana, Gladys Knight, Neil Diamond, Lou Rawls, and Boyz II Men. In her own recording career she maintained an ongoing partnership with Frederick Knight across the 1980s and 1990s, including a period under contract to his Park Place label. Knight wrote and produced nearly all of the material on her self-titled debut from the mid-1980s; the live set Keisa Brown...Live appeared soon afterward. The Keisa Brown Collection reached stores via Malaco Records in 1999.
