Biography
Peter Kristian Jensen came into the world on 4 April 1942 in New Haven, Connecticut. A true one-hit-wonder, his only appearance on the charts arrived with the 1962 US Top 20 single ‘Torture’, a composition by John D. Loudermilk that the Everly Brothers had already declined. Before linking up with Hickory Records, he cut sides for the Colpix, Leader and Kapp imprints. That track served as his debut release on Hickory, though more than half a dozen follow-ups on the label never approached its commercial reach. Subsequent sessions found him working with White Whale and A&M Records.
