Letts

London-born Christian Letts divides his creative energies among songwriting, vocal performance, painting, and sculpture while serving as guitarist and songwriter inside the vividly hued, Southern California-rooted retro-pop ensemble Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. His own material merges pastoral indie-folk textures with sharply melodic pop cores. The year 2011 brought an introduction to Marcus Mumford when Letts’s band supported Mumford & Sons on the Railroad Revival Tour; the pair quickly formed a close bond. Once Letts resolved to record under his own name, he invited Mumford to oversee production. The resulting album, Hold Fast, appeared in early 2015 on Community Music/Vagrant Records under the artist name Letts.
