Biography
Shawn Cripps, the lo-fi folk musician from Memphis, Tennessee, assembled the Limes during autumn 2000, bringing in drummer Nick Ray, bassist Harlan T. Bobo, and guitarist Jack Yarber. Following appearances at three Goner Records festivals, the band joined the label’s roster in 2010. Rhinestone River arrived that August. Goner followed up in 2011 by reissuing a pair of earlier Limes albums from the catalog—Tarantula! (2005) and Blue Blood (2006).
