Lindsay Tomasic

Lindsay Tomasic balances an array of creative roles that encompass singing, musicianship, production, sound design, composition, backup vocals, and recording engineering. Recognition for her name often falls short, yet her contributions surface across numerous television programs without drawing attention to their origin. Her placements include Passions, Young and the Restless, Sunset Beach, Seventh Heaven, Family Law, Judging Amy, and the Roseanne Show, while she also supplied theme music for Murphy Brown, Chicago Hope, and Touched by an Angel.

Michigan gave her both birth and a copper-miner father. In 1987 she relocated alone to Los Angeles, intent on building a career in music. Early membership in a band secured a recording contract that ultimately dissolved, prompting her to sustain herself through steady work as a pianist and vocalist.

Years of disciplined effort allowed her to finance a modest home studio, where she recorded demos for fellow artists and contributed instrumental or vocal parts as required. By the early 1990s her original songwriting and demonstration recordings had begun attracting industry notice.

Her first solo release, Well Kept Secret, earned strong critical response and reached the head of music operations at CBS. Paradise Road followed, its songs reflecting her upbringing and evoking the shared experiences of small-town American childhood.
