Biography
Little Miss Higgins, a singer and guitarist rooted in country blues, entered the world in Alberta, Canada, before growing up in Independence, KS, where she regularly shares stages with her musical partner Foy Taylor. In 2006 her first album, Cobbler Shop Sessions, earned a nomination for a Western Canadian Music Award while she simultaneously received an IMA Vox Populi Award for the song "Ferry Boat Blues." Tim Williams produced her next release, Junction City, which appeared in 2007. Across her career she has shared bills with blues figures such as Big Dave McLean, Corb Lund, and Suzie Vinnick. The year 2008 brought another distinction when she was nominated for a Juno Award, Canada's national counterpart to the Grammys, in the Best Blues Album category.
