Los Vallenatos De La Cumbia

In Monterrey, Neuvo León, brothers Sergio, Martin, and Francisco Sias Sánchez formed Los Vallenatos de la Cumbia, which ranked among the earliest Mexican groups to achieve success with Colombian cumbia and the northern coastal folk style known as vallenato. The year 1990 brought their breakthrough via a debut international release whose song “Mentiras” rose on the leading local charts.
