Forged from thunderous, aggressive tones that fuse hard rock intensity with classic heavy metal edge, Lost Angel forged a distinctive take on potent rock & roll. The group came together in Mansfield, OH, in 1992 when Jon Alfrey (vocals, percussion), Jerry Martin (guitar), Mark Zellner (guitar), and Doug Perry (bass) joined forces, steadily cultivating a robust reputation from that point forward. Their weighty compositions, delivered through commanding and electrifying concerts, drew an enthusiastic audience right away. Only in 1998 did the outfit finally head into the studio for its debut effort. That self-produced album, Destination, reached stores the same year, anchoring the band within the regional scene and clearing a path beyond neighborhood venues. After three more years of sustained acclaim from listeners and critics alike, Lost Angel returned to the studio to capture its next long-player, Psychosomatic, which appeared in 2001.
