Biography
The seven-piece experimental ensemble Lost at Last originated through the efforts of South Africa-native keyboardist Om, vocalist Jaya Lakshmi, and guitarist Deva Priyo. Additional seasoned players soon augmented the lineup, enabling the creation of their self-titled debut record, which appeared in 1997. Blending traditional sounds with electronic elements through a fusion of computer-driven techno sequences and improvisational jamming, the group relocated to the San Francisco Bay area to begin live performances. After securing a deal with RCA, they captured their second album in 2001 with David Tickle serving as producer.
