Biography
In the final months of 1978, as Little Feat edged toward breakup, lead guitarist and songwriter Lowell George captured his solo debut, Thanks I'll Eat It Here, in a relaxed and groove-heavy style that matched the band at its strongest. The record appeared in 1979, after which George launched a tour to promote it. He suffered a fatal heart attack on the road, leaving a legacy of raw, wide-ranging, and rhythm-driven rock & roll. Although his songwriting and instrumental strengths register more clearly on Little Feat’s first five albums than on this lone effort, the album’s appeal stays undiminished.
