Biography
Lucky Uke, the Montreal ukulele group, assembled in 2010 with Matt Laurent, Martin Héon, Sebastien "Watty" Langlois, Greg Morency, and Christian-Marc Gendron forming its lineup. The ensemble devotes itself to rendering 1980s pop successes entirely on ukuleles, placing particular weight on hair metal staples such as "Sweet Child 'o' Mine" and "The Final Countdown." Its self-titled debut album came out that same year, and Sunburn followed in 2012.
