Biography
Formed in New York during the 1980s, Ludichrist specialized in hardcore and speed metal. Their recordings displayed capable musicianship without much originality, relying chiefly on the sporadic appearance of a sharp lyric to set them apart. Once their second full-length album was behind them, singer Tommy Christ joined forces with guitarists Glenn Cummings and Paul Nieder to dissolve the lineup and regroup with an entirely new rhythm section as Scatterbrain, a project that favored humor and abrupt stylistic shifts.
