Biography
Marc Beacco developed an original vocal style by matching wordless scat vocals with the improvisational playing of jazz performers. In 1995 he released Scampi Fritti, an innovative project that brought together jazz artists from both sides of the Atlantic such as Michael and Randy Brecker along with trombonist Jim Pugh and bassist Neils Henning-Olersted Pederson. Steve Lukather of Toto commended Beacco’s method with the words “combining the high-tech vocal techniques of the 1980s and ’90s a cappella singers with guest instrumental soloists.”
