Versatile singer Marie Knight laid down gospel sides with the Millionaires while also cutting appealing pop-soul material in the early '60s and exploring jump-blues alongside doo wop-flavored R&B. Rock listeners tend to know her chiefly through Manfred Mann's 1965 cover of her 1961 single "Come Tomorrow," which became a major UK hit and a minor US success.
