Biography
Originally serving as the honky tonk-inspired frontman of the country-rock outfit Geardaddies, Martin Zellar saw the group dissolve in 1992. Following the split, he launched solo performances in the Minneapolis area, which had served as the band's longstanding home. Teaming up with bassist Nick Ciola, organist Jon Duncan, guitarist Adam Levy, and drummer Noah Levy, he put out his first solo album, Born Under, toward the end of 1994.
