Biography
Matthew Caws, frontman of Nada Surf, and Juliana Hatfield, the singer/songwriter formerly known as an ex-Blake Baby, conceived Minor Alps as a vehicle for merging the veteran alt-rockers' respective repertoires. The resulting sound merges shimmering indie pop with autumnal electro-folk in an evocative style situated between Junip, Bon Iver, and Dean + Britta. On their Barsuk-issued debut, 2013's Get There, the duo divided writing and vocal duties.
