Music Go Music

Formed in Los Angeles, the dance-rock trio Music Go Music—vocalist Gala Bell alongside multi-instrumentalists Kamer Maza and Torg—produces explosive, eclectic club anthems steeped in the melodic late-'70s progressive pop approach of ABBA and ELO, yet sharpened by a modern sensibility that echoes Scissor Sisters, the New Pornographers, and Mika. In May 2008 the group issued its three-song Light of Love single on Secretly Canadian, a release that drew widespread critical praise; the full-length Reach Out followed on the same label that August. Expressions appeared the next year. Following an extended hiatus from new material, Music Go Music resumed activity in 2013 by unveiling two singles from its forthcoming album—“Love Is All I Can Hear” in September and “People All Over the World” in November. The third album, Impressions, arrived in August 2014, its sound framed as the ABBA meets Fleetwood Mac in a disco Impressions. During the same period the members devoted intense effort to developing the musical Active Savage: Rise of Menergy.
