Among Turkey's foremost pop vocalists, Mustafa Sandal has achieved exceptional domestic success. His distinctive style fuses vibrant Turkish rhythmic patterns with orchestral string arrangements in the vein of Barry Manilow and a gentle, velvety singing voice, yielding album sales surpassing three million units inside his home country. The 2000 Sony International release Araba brought his sound to audiences worldwide for the first time.
