Myslovitz, a platinum-selling Polish group renowned for their popularity, infuse melodic pop and rock with elements drawn from Brit-pop, shoegaze, and indie rock traditions. The ensemble took their title from the industrial southern Polish city of Myslowice, where they first assembled in 1992 as the Freshman before adopting their current identity two years later. At that point, the lineup featured Michał Kowalonek alongside Wojciech Powaga, Jacek Kuderski, Wojciech Kuderski, and Przemek Myszor, leading to the launch of their self-titled debut record in 1995. Securing a contract with Sony Music's Polish branch in 1996 enabled the release of their next effort, Sun Machine, which garnered positive critiques and drew parallels to Oasis and the Verve. Follow-up albums including Z Rozmyślań Przy Sniadaniu from 1997, Miłość w Czasach Popkultury issued in 1999, and Korova Milky Bar appearing in 2002 solidified their status among Poland's premier acts, while an English-language rendition of the final one in 2003 broadened their reach beyond domestic borders. The psychedelic-leaning Skalary, Mieczyki, Neonki surfaced in 2004, followed by Happiness Is Easy two years thereafter; Niewazne, Jak Wysoko Jestesmy... came out in 2011, and 1,577 arrived in 2013.
