Nadine Beiler, who releases music under her given name alone, is an Austrian pop vocalist recognized above all for claiming victory in the third edition of Starmania, the country’s televised talent competition. Born on May 27, 1990, she spent her childhood in Inzing, Tyrol, where an early interest in singing led her to perform regularly at local parties and weddings. In the summer of 2006 she auditioned for Starmania; on January 26, 2007, the sixteen-year-old prevailed over the eleven remaining finalists by delivering Brenda Russell’s “Get Here,” Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and En Vogue’s “Don't Let Go (Love).”

Within weeks her first single, the R&B ballad “Alles Was Du Willst” (Everything You Want), appeared and climbed to number two on the Austrian Top 40, making her the only Starmania champion to date who failed to top the chart. The track was produced by Alexander Kahr, previously associated with Christina Stürmer and Luttenberger*Klug. Her follow-up single, “Was Wir Sind” (Who We Are), peaked at number 15. In June 2007 the debut album Komm Doch Mal Rüber (Come Over Here) arrived, comprising uptempo R&B, dance tracks, soul pieces, and ballads—all performed in German, with one selection rendered in her native Tyrolean dialect.
