Biography
Carl Craig's project Paperclip People functions as one more extension of his forward-thinking output, yet stands out for its pronounced emphasis on club play and generates tracks markedly separate from those issued under his own name. In 1996 several singles appeared on Britain's Open Records, the label overseen by the super-club Ministry of Sound, where Paperclip People's singular mix of tweaked acid-dub and house brought Craig wider recognition across mainstream dancefloors. Toward the close of 1996 he gathered those Paperclip People singles together with newly recorded material to form the album The Secret Tapes of Dr. Eich. Near the end of 1998 the single "4 My Peepz" came out on Planet E.
