Biography
Formed in 1987 within Champaign, Illinois, Poster Children came together as a high-energy punk-pop outfit. They term their approach "post wave," and the four albums they have issued demonstrate the sources of their dedicated cult audience: skill at composing forceful yet melodic material together with an uncompromising do-it-yourself stance that covers piloting their own tour bus, generating every piece of artwork and T-shirt design themselves, and operating their own record label. A longtime favorite on college campuses, Poster Children keep drawing listeners with every hyperkinetic album, among them 1990's Daisychain Reaction, 1993's Tool of the Man, 1997's RFTM, and 2000's DDD.
