Quazar

Distinguishing Quazar from the New Jersey funk ensemble of the 1970s that bore the identical name, the Amsterdam act ranked among the city's foremost underground techno and house artists throughout the 1990s. Producer MG, real name Gert Van Veen, headed the project alongside keyboard player and occasional vocalist Daphne Mollee. The group entered the scene in 1990 via the European club hit "Seven Stars." A succession of 12" singles and three albums preceded the world tour undertaken in 1995. Underworld vocalist Karl Hyde lent his services to several tracks on the fourth album, 1997's Flightrecorder. 21 Hours appeared in 1999.
