Under the Quickly, Quickly alias, Graham Jonson crafts hypnotic soundscapes that fuse maxed-out production, jazz-inflected instrumentals, and stacked rhythms. Following earlier explorations of lo-fi hip-hop beat-making, sampling, and relaxed instrumental work, he shifted toward tracks featuring his own vocals and performances on every instrument, assuming a songwriter identity on the 2021 album The Long and Short of It. His 2023 EP Easy Listening reimagined breezy '60s soul through psychedelic and synthesizer-driven electronic pop.

Jonson started creating music early and issued tracks publicly by age 16. He adopted the Quickly, Quickly name in 2017 for atmospheric hip-hop instrumentals. Across subsequent releases his approach evolved, progressing from the laid-back beats of the self-released 2017 set Quickly, Quickly Vol. 1 to more intricate electronic textures on the 2018 projects Paths and Over Skies. After signing with Ghostly International, he further sharpened his method for the 2021 album The Long and Short of It, which incorporated conventional song forms, live playing, and Jonson’s own vocals. Issued in August 2021 and led by the single “Feel,” the album marked this evolution. On the six-song Easy Listening EP, Jonson drew primary inspiration from carefree and upbeat '60s soul while retaining the project’s rhythmic psychedelia through live instrumentation, chopped samples, and buzzy synthesizers across its bright, time-bending pieces.
